What does luxury mean to you when it comes to curating your home? And, From playing a psychic in Maggie to a romantic lead in Four Weddings and a Funeral, you’ve taken on a range of dynamic roles. What draws you to a character, and how do you prepare for each one?

Excellent fabrics, craftsmanship, originality, comfort, artfulness, and one of a kind pieces.

Since these have been TV roles and you have to accept the part before everything is written, the writer is of paramount importance. Someone who can write funny and imperfect characters is what I look for. In terms of preparation, if I’m playing a real person, capturing their essence is important which requires a lot of research. If I’m not, I like to know the script super well so that I can be spontaneous on set.

How do you balance your acting career with your personal passions and wellness routine?

As I get older the more and more I feel like I have a LOT on my plate. But I love everything I’m doing, including the company I am launching this fall: Privet Beauty, which is a brow focused beauty company. Some days I feel very overwhelmed but I try to time black my days and put my phone somewhere else so I can focus on getting through everything. Exercise and sleep are super important for me as well, otherwise I become totally discombobulated.

After a long day on set, what’s your ultimate way to unwind? Are there any wellness practices or routines that have become essential to your day-to-day life?

Walking, cooking, baths, my red light mask, reading, meditating, working out. It’s all pretty straightforward. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best solution.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self about balancing career and personal life?

Don’t worry too much about it. There are seasons for everything. If work is quiet, enjoy your personal life. If work is busy, lean into it and focus your energy on your strengths.
